When foreign students come to the United States to attend college or university, or when American students are planning to study abroad, they are considered international students. There are many reasons why somebody may wish to study abroad, whether it’s to gain a new cultural perspective, new experiences, learn a new language, or even attend a college or university they believe would provide them the best opportunity at their future career.
When it comes to scholarships for international students, there are many that people can choose from. For the vast majority of them, they are specific to certain colleges and universities. In other words, if an international student is attending a particular university, there will likely be at least a few scholarships available for them to be considered.
For most of the scholarships for international students, the applicant needs to be a citizen of a foreign country and have permission to enter the United States (or the host nation) for the specific purposes of studying at an accredited college or university.
Here is a list of several different scholarships that may be available to various international students throughout the United States. Even though this is an abbreviated list, it should provide some insight into what may actually be available to college students at a number of different universities all across the United States and even around the world.
The first two scholarships on this list, though, are basically available to international students planning to study in the United States and are not specific to any one college or university.
